Strange Chinese delicacy of the week 8

As there was no competition last week, and we were pretty tardy anyway, we thought we would make it a specially interesting quiz this week.

We have not tried this delight, but it is used in cookery and in medicine. And despite its exotic appearence, it tastes pretty bland so I hear.

Tip: it is an echinoderm. Like that helps, you say.
