Adtastic

There’s nothing like Christmas to encourage a little reminiscing. For some reason this has taken the form of discussing old adverts we used to watch on TV. (The Olsen household can be a little left-field sometimes.)

So how many of you remember these?

The Fruit and Nut-cake advert, with a saucy singing bar and hunky chunky almonds? For some reason this always brings up memories of Chris Lauder at school, but that’s another story.

The red car and the blue car had a race? Would the Government allow such an ad now, with its criticism of fatties? Doubtful

They definitely banned this one. Hamlet had some of the best ads ever.

And a modern one to end. You can never go wrong with a running bomb.

Anyone got any others to suggest?
